Nominate for the Unsung Hero Awards – Tamil Murasu

Applications are now open for nominations for this year’s Singapore Silent Heroes Awards.

This was announced at the ‘Impact for Humanity Symposium’ held at the Republic Polytechnic College last Thursday (March 5). The public can nominate those who have made positive contributions within their communities.

Information about those who qualify for the final round of the award will be published on the digital platforms of the Unknown Heroes organization. This measure is taken to increase awareness among the public and recognize their contribution.

An independent panel of judges will select the award recipients. The winners will be announced at the Unsung Hero Awards ceremony in September.

Awards will be given in five categories: Heart of Humanity, Inspiring Youth, Outstanding Adult, Pioneer of Promise, Compassionate Foreigner.

The Unsung Hero Awards were introduced in 2014. The Unsung Hero Awards recognize individuals who demonstrate compassion, courage, and dedication to serving others without expecting recognition or reward.

These awards recognize those who, through their daily actions, are building stronger, more resilient communities in Singapore.

Since the Unsung Hero Awards were launched, the public has nominated over 1,200 individuals. So far, 62 individuals have been honored with the award.

The theme of the conference was ‘The Power of Humanity’ and ‘Impact on Humanity’. The conference focused on how social policies impact everyday decisions and actions, especially for young people.
