Silent Heroes prestigious awards are presented to 56 people who have selflessly contributed to the society.

Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will be the special guest at the 10th edition of the Civilians Association.

He awards the winners and finalists in five categories.

A special section has been introduced for this year’s students.

Awards are presented to 19 students who have shown exemplary service and dedication to helping those in need.

The award is given by Deputy Minister of Education Gan Siow Huang to students studying in primary schools, high schools and primary colleges.

Students are involved in various activities such as helping local gardeners, helping at senior care facilities, and helping vulnerable animals.

Organizers said they have proved that age is no barrier to showing compassion.
