The silent hero award has given more visibility to something I have been doing for many years.
I consider the award as a recognition and endorsement of the kind of work we need in the community today. Therefore it has inspired me to continue to do these services.
Following the award few organisations and friends have taken keen interests in my work and are coming forward to join hands with me to serve more. I have recently embarked on running a small eatery, but this is not motivated by money but rather to promote my culture and tradition.
However through this small restaurant we are hoping to serve the needy with affordable meals and friends have even come forward to support free meals for senior citizens.
