In 2018, the Award’s fifth consecutive and milestone year, the ceremony was held at the
Shangri-La Hotel on 29 September 2018. The Guest-of-Honour was Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister & Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies. Silent Heroes Award was presented to candidates who have been identified as the exemplary amongst us in their contribution towards the society.

EVENT: 29th August 2018
In 2018, again at the Island Ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel, 3 individual winners were honoured and celebrated. Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister & Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies graced the occasion and presented the awards. The Award was presented across specific social and community categories in which candidates have made significant contributions.
Each year the Award committee will set up the categories and the set of criteria for suitable qualifying candidates to fulfil. The Award ceremony for 2018 was open to individuals across categories.
